Finally upgraded my phone to a Sprint HTC Hero. I actually got it a few days ago, and then had to wait a few more days after I updated my phone plan and my account needed to reflect the change in order to activate the Hero. And now after a couple of days, I’ve think I’ve finally got it sort of figured out and configured to my preferences…so far. The notables include things such as:
Mine does have the “with Google” tag, EV-DO Rev A on the network type and Android Cupcake 1.5.
The HTC Pouch S491 will work for the Sprint version Hero very nicely.
Make sure the Sprint representative, that I always end up having to call because their online activation is stupid and never works for me–not user error either, has actually activated a Hero before and you’re not popping their Sprint Hero cherry. This is prevent you from having to unnecessarily open the back cover and remove the battery.
If you can’t ever get an iPhone through your wireless carrier, it’s good that you don’t have to resort to Windows Mobile.
Dead pixels are a part of life and the LCD.
Fooling around with the security lock pattern is not advised, unless you can self-analyze yourself and try to remember what your tendencies are and figure out what your pattern was after it’s set and you don’t know what it was.
